Distribution Center Administrator

• Solely responsible for the design of the NFL's Game Day Network and Distribution Center

• Connected all 31 stadiums to the Distribution Center in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

• Connected the Distribution Center to the NFL Data Partners including: FOX Sports, SportsTicker, ESPN, Time Warner and Starwave

• Part of a team of two people responsible for the smooth operation and troubleshooting of the Game Day Network

• Solely responsible for the quality of service (QoS) between the stadiums, the Data Partners and the Distribution Center

• Installed and used Netsaint, an open source network monitoring tool, to actively monitor each node of the network and alert the support team of any service failure in the network

• Installed, configured and used Solstice Domain Manager, to collect and graphically display resource utilization of each node of the network

• Installed and used OpenNMS, an open source network management tool, to supplement Solstice Domain Manager. Because of the high cost per seat for Solstice Domain Manager, OpenNMS was used by the support team to keep the cost per seat with the NFL's budget

• Worked with a team to move 40 frame-relay and point-to-point T1 circuits to the new facility.

• Responsible for testing the redundant analog dial-ups for each site to ensure connectivity even when the primary links were down

• Setup Big Brother, an open source network monitoring tool, to actively monitor each Cisco router and display a status/summary web page of each those routers
